The Church has Left the Building

Two St. Peter's School children help stock our the Food Pantry at our first Church has Left the Building activity.

This Sunday marks our second offering of community service for your family.  Please call the church office if you have questions or to reserve your spot for work.  As always wear your old clothes and working boots to help those around us!  Come to the 9am service, receive a blessing, and be sent out in love to serve the Lord! 

Sunday October 23rd Service Offerings:

1.     Maurice Kirby Child Care Center (30 People- Children Welcome) on the campus of Howard High School.  We will be moving mulch and spreading it inside new playground Equipment.  You need to bring: closed toed work shoes, wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, or pitch forks to move mulch

2.    Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter  (20 People, 4+ Chainsaws- No children) Cutting up and removing a fallen tree from back of property.  Equipment you need to bring: closed toed work shoes, work gloves, chainsaws, hand saws. They are providing a pickup truck that can be used to haul the debris to the outside of the fence (the City will pick up debris if it is next to the road.

3.      St. Peter’s Food Pantry (20 People/2 Shoppers/families welcome- Children  Welcome)Shopping, organizing.

4.      Community Kitchen, Metropolitan Ministries, and Hosanna House (10 People )  Creating care packages

Sunday December 4th offerings:

1.  Metropolitan Ministry Christmas Tree Project- (entire parish- all ages)  We will need wrappers, shoppers, and transporters as we help give those in need at Christmas time.  

2.  Community Kitchen, Metropolitan Ministries, and Hosanna House (10 People )care bags. 

3.      St. Peter’s Food Pantry (20 People/2 Shoppers/families welcome- Children Welcome) Shopping, organizing.
